HI Ken,

good to hear from you - as for the manuals I only was able to find "APE 175" which describes AC-AD1 but not AD2...I have read that the difference between AD1 and AD2 is mainly in the new cabin, light, front mud guard, etc..but do not know if there was a difference in the engine. Was there, do you know? In the case there is no, I will happily use one of yours....(which I am very much grateful for!)

Allora AD1 e AD2 hanno lo stesso motore 175cc. Non c'è nessuna differenza, quindi puoi usare il manuale per Ape 175. Dalle foto vedo che il veicolo è in ottime condizioni di carrozzeria. Il fondo è quasi integro. Vedo che hai bisogno di 3 (+1 di scorta) cerchi originali e pneumatici 4.00 X 8 pollici 6PR. La forcella anteriore completa (la stessa per AD1, AD2 e AE3) che puoi trovare qui usata ( da verificare se compatibile ):

Wow, this manual looks very promising...it would be fantastic to have it all But just a few pages on the engine would be ok. In particular I cannot remove the flywheel (ventilatore)...

Ho scansionato una parte del catalogo ricambi dedicata al motore. Puoi fare il download da qui: https://www.mondoape.com/manuali/motore_ape_175.zip .
Per smontare il ventilatore devi semplicemente svitare il suo dado, che batte sull'anello sieger finche non senti uno scatto, ed avviene l'estrazione.

Grazie per il consiglio e la documentazione giusta. Ma il problema è che sia il dado e l'anello sono svitato e li ventilatore si trova sempre nella sua posizione (mentre gira normalmente). Ho provato a staccare gli da un lato o sollevarla, ma tutto senza risultati...Penso che dovrò usare una certa forza e colpire il ventilatore diverse volte per l'estrazione, che non mi piace molto...

Thank you very much for the advice and the right documentation. But the problem is that both the nut and the ring are removed and the fan still sits in its position (while turning normally). I have already tried to lever it from sides or lift it up but all with no success. I think I will have to use some force and hit the fan few times to remove it, which I dont like very much....

Be very careful. The fan will sit on a half moon key so it doesn't slip on the shaft. No doubt it will be very tight because of age. You will have to probably use a puller but there are others with experience with these motors who will help, I've never laid hands on one. - Wait for advice and be patient. Ken

Yeah, sure. Exactly as you say it really seems that the fan is stuck on the shaft and the small halfmoon piece (even it may be well corroded alltogether in there). Though I have certain experience with the vespa engine that seems very similar, I would not like making any stupid mistake. My idea now is to heat the fan up so that it expands a bit and then gently knock on the shaft from above with a narrow hammer...and if it doesnt help I am buying honda (sure not)

Non hai bisogno di estrattori. Blocca il ventilatore, svita con forza il dado finchè non senti uno scatto. A questo punto svita ancora finchè il dado non gira a vuoto. Ora puoi rimuovere il ventilatore con le mani, facendo lievemente forza (sembra incollato perchè lo tengono fermo le calamite).

Quindi lei dice che dopo aver rimosso il dado dovrei essere in grado di rimuovere il ventilatore solo con le mani? Questo non funziona, questo è il problema ... Come ho scritto ho svitato il dado e rimuovere l'anello già abbastanza facilmente ... (ho sentito il scatto). Farò le foto ... grazie per il vostro interesse!

So you say that after removing the nut I should be able to remove the fan just with hands? This doesnt work, that is the problem...As I wrote I have unscrewed the nut and remove the ring already quite easily...(have heard the click). I will make pictures...thank you for your interest!
