Tachimetro P601

Ciao a tutti,
ho una P601 del 1978 e da un po' di giorni non mi segna più la velocità. Ho provato a controllare il cavo che arriva dietro al tachimetro ma è ben ancorato e non credo abbia problemi. Ho provato a seguirlo per vedere dove poteva essere scollegato e, se non sbaglio, ingenuamente ho scoperto che entra nel motore. Qui effettivamente si è allentato ma non ho la più pallida idea su come possa fissarlo per bene. Qualcuno ha consigli da darmi? Ciao e grazie!

Devi controllare che la parte interna sia quadrata e che non sia rotto in qualche punto, se tutto questo e' aposto probabilmente e' lo strumento. Ciao facci sapere

If you wish to check the operation of the speedo cable it's best to undo the cable where it meets the speedometer and tape the end of the cable sheath to the dash so you can see the tip. Make sure there are no tight bends in the cable. Take your Ape for a short drive down the street and watch the cable end to see if it turns freely at different speeds. If it doesn't turn it's broken. If it turns you might be experiencing a sticking problem inside the speedometer itself. Remove the speedometer and use a cordless drill with a green Robertson bit (square tip) and use it to spin the speedometer at slow and then higher revs. A small spray of WD40 inside will free everything up. I had a sticking speedo in a P501 and this worked. Before re-assembly make sure you drop some oil into the cable and sheath while it's still taped to the dash to lubricate it. - Ken
