qualcuno sa dirmi in che cosa differiscono l'ape MPR dalla MPA? in particolare che vuol dire la lettera finale?

Does somebody know the differences between the ape MPR and the MPA? Wich is the meaning of the final letter?

La prima differenza che salta agli occhi è la portata: 550 kg per l'MPA, 500 kg per l'MPR. Altro non riesco a trovare. Sembra strano che Piaggio abbia prodotto contemporaneamente e per diversi anni due motoveicoli 190cc con una portata di appena 50 kg di differenza. Il mistero non è risolto.

A difference I found is in the gears, they're all slightly different and this can be found in the Service Station Manual for Commercial MP - Ken

Yes but it's strange: very small differeces and two different frame numbers, and producted together at the same time..

When Piaggio first produced the MP series I have a funny feeling it was over-rated for carrying capacity and no doubt used up a batch of slightly different gears before standardizing. Not unusual for the times but perhaps someone else can give a more detailed reason. Ken
