I don't know the manufacturer, it was produced locally in Greece and used a Volkswagen motor and has lots of bells & whistles - Ken

Well, it's not an Ape but a 1936 Ford 1 ton truck that I'd purchased from Uncle Joe Kadlubec of Melville, Saskatchewan, Canada and sold it a number of years ago. The new owner has finished it's restoration and sent me these photos. The cassone is oak, made by my wife's grandfather and he fabricated the ironwork on his forge on the farm. It has a hydraulic hoist and was used to haul grain to the Elevator. He'd kept every quart of oil ever used, in jars on the walls of the farm shed, and when the dirt had settled after many years he poured the clear oil back into the motor. This is a photo from the Bayfield Fall Fair Parade in 1983 of me driving the 36 Ford 1 ton with all the kids from The Old Homestead Trailer Park which we owned at that time. The Ford is as I'd purchased it from Uncle Joe in Saskatchewan. The motor had only been rebuilt once. I also owned a 1942 Dodge 1 ton tipper with 24,000 original miles and we used it at the camp. I have to scan some photos if anyone's interested. You can see the cassone in it's original shape. I sold the truck to it's new owner in the late 1990's - Ken
