spero che mi scusate per i messagi a ken ma alla fine serve perche lui ha il disegno per un cassone in legno da produrre .
e del tipo "kit" (assemblaggio del aquirente) .
il prototipo si vede sul ape mio . (il mio e di legno usato e non tanto buono , il kit dovrebbe essere di maple o un altro legno resistente)

The cassone doesn't have fold down sides - they're fixed - correct? In my opinion it's finito. I suppose the tailgate is as bad as the rest. Perhaps the engine cover can be saved but I need to see the underside of it. Time to either find a used one that's in much better shape or get yourself a miter saw and some lumber and build yourself a new cassone. - You have some examples in the photos I've posted. Use the old cassone for measurements and attachment points and perhaps use the engine cover again once restored for access to the motor. You might be able to use the tailgate but my guess is that it's toast as well. Ken

cavolo è veramente tanta, ormai è marcio, è addirittura deformato.
Quelli che avevo trovato dal demolitore l'anno scorso erano messi veramente meglio,
il mio consiglio è sostituirlo,
al limite recuperi le sponde e il cofano, e te lo rifai in lamiera zincata liscia (al limite riadagiando le sponde con rivetti),
certo perde di originalità, ma ne ho visto diversi fatti, e hanno risolto così, e per lavoro vanno bene.

Better still, get thee to Ancona, buy the P501 for 800euros (take 700- you don't need the billboard), pull off whatever you need to restore yours and part out the rest - Ken
