I have the same problem in my Ape, it was made for a shorter Italian than me.

I have been looking around for the gel that is used for motorcycle seats, and that is what I would use instead
of just foam, which will degrade in short time.

I forgot where I found it, but I did get the original style paper tubing for the heater duct. (Thinking maybe it was a VW heater hose)

I couldn't find it. Maybe keep it in your pocket with the other spare nuts and bolts you have left over, so it has some company.

I have the garage footprint I will build down for a basement and up for a second floor. That way I am not changing the use of the property or the footprint.
