I have a standard 6V bulb so I could try a halogen one and see if there is any difference
I am led to believe that the headlight system runs on an AC system and the side lights etc run off the battery

Hi
I do have a battery on the vehicle and I wanted the headlights to be brighter at the moment when on the headlight is like a candle the sidelights are fine but the headlight is very dim, do I have a problem elsewhere?

That is correct I have the flywheel and stator version I did see a similar ape for sale on eBay and it looked like it had been converted

Can anyone help in the UK as to where I can get insurance cover for my AD1T I have tried several companies and they do not recognise the vehicle, is there anyone in the UK that have found a company that has insured theirs if so can you let me know

Hi All Can anyone explain the function of the 7 wires and what voltage I should get when checking them out I am getting 8v AC from the violet wire,(Battery) 15v AC from 1 yellow wire and 0v AC from the other yellow wire, 8v AC from the white wire and 0v AC from the green wire is this correct? Hi Ken What is confusing is that everything is working perfectly until the ignition switch is switched to the headlight position and this makes eveything dim, I have connected thr headlight through the battery and everything is bright, I have checked all the earth connections and scraped them clean ...

Hi All I cannot get hold of a iginition switch for my ape AD1T (9 contacts) it was suggested I use a vespa GS160 (see my plea in the forum) however this switch has different contact position numbers, but I have managed to work out alternative numbers, but when the headlights are on (Position 3) they...
