Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
I've already rotated 180°the auxiliary shaft Two times.
Because I've Doubts about the point timing.
The engine didn't backfire When it was rotated by dinomotor.
Simply, the engine was like a piston compressor.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
Start at the beginning. Set the motor at TDC, making sure the rod passes through the two small holes and then settles in the notch on the fan pulley. Pull the distributor and check the points gap to make sure it's correct. Turn the distributor shaft with a screwdriver to where the points are just beginning to open at the high point on the lobe. Insert the distributor and lock in place but loosely. Then with the ignition key in the 'on' position you can check when the light goes on and off to make sure the setting is correct. If you're satisfied then replace the distributor cap and lock ring and see if it will fire up. Final adjustment can be made using the slide on top of the distributor before bolting it firmly in place - Ken

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
Good and bad news:
The timing is correct.
I followed your advices and The ignition is correct.
The switch "on", I rotated the flywheel by Hand while i looking the hole in the flywheel, the spark plug led ignition! !!
But Nothing.
I dry the cylinder, i empty the carburetor and after i run the engine.
Nothing....
I didn't use a new spark plug Because at Sunday, garage shop is Closed! :-)
I Hope that no problem in the seals of the shaft.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
did you remove both small wires from the coil while working on the engine? Do you have a test light? Ken

I didn't remove anithing From high voltage bobin.
No, Because i don't understand Where you connected the Wire on the top of screw driver.
So, i use a device tester in order to do like your test.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
This picture explains how to use a test light. The end of the wire must be clamped to a good ground such as a bolt or the bracket for lifting the engine, not on aluminum. With the test light properly grounded if you touch the probe to a power source such as a wire or fuse the light will come on inside telling you there's power. Great for testing a fuse panel in the Ape on both ends of the fuse to make sure there's proper connection.
When the probe is touching the power end of the points it will tell you when there's power and you can check to see (with a mirror if needed) to make sure the light comes on just as the points are beginning to open as in the Manual.
If properly set at TDC and the points gap is correct then ignition will be either correct or 180 degrees off and will need the drive pin turned 180degrees to correct.
When setting TDC with the cooling fan in place and with the cooling shroud also in place you must be positive that the rod drops down through the second hole in the engine casing. If the rod slips by the second hole and settles in the notch in the fan pulley the timing will be incorrect and it will not be a true TDC. - Ken

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
Very bad news
I install a new spark plug.
Nothing.
I rotated in every position the puntine.
Nothing.
I Closed the gasoline, disconnected the filter, empty the carburetor, dryed the cylinder.
Nothing.
I found into the intake a Lot of oil
I tried to start the engine with espress gas at full throotle.
Nothing.
At week end, i Hope that i'll have a new test light.
If the new rotary seals is broken down. So the oil of the Gear Pass in the engine?

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
The 900ml of oil in the gearbox/differential won't get into the part of the casing housing the crankshaft.
The oil in the intake will be from the fuel mixture which should be 2% 2 stroke oil mixed with high test gasoline. The gasoline evaporates, leaving the oil.
If the crankshaft seals are bad it will run but with a very lean mixture because air will be leaking into the chamber.
Instead of sending mixed fuel into the carburetor you can use a spray can of 'Quick Start' and spray a small amount into the throat of the carburetor. The engine should fire up if only for a moment if the timing is correct.
Until now you're simply adding more oil and fuel into the combustion chamber and the oil won't evaporate.
More important is to properly set the timing - Ken NEVER start a two stroke motor with the throttle open. The manual states to pull up the choke lever but keep the throttle closed until the engine fires - NEVER - it screws up the air/fuel mixture ratio with too much air and that may be your problem - NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVER. Could be your problem. My client couldn't start their P601 so his wife took this video. I noticed his right elbow was used to open the throttle while he was trying to start it. After I told him the above it started every time. - https://goo.gl/photos/yGbHZYjCgugnVnWRA - You can see him opening the throttle and then turning the key to try and start it. Page 50 in the P601 manual NEVER! Keep throttle closed. (Left click on the picture and it will enlarge and the video will start - watch his right hand)

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
After a night that i though many hours, i decided to change the external high voltage Wire.
I Hope to reach the goal!
I found out that it is similar of fiat 127.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
I replaced the external high voltage coil with other new coil. Nothing.
After that, i replaced the new condensator with older. Nothing.
I checked the time timing. It was ok.
I tried to run the engine 4 time. I didn't move the throotle.
The crankcase and The intake were full of gasoline.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
dirt in the float needle in the carburetor allowing it to flood all the time? Turn off the fuel cock at the tank and drain the line at the carburetor. Pull the inlet and clean the screen and the tube where the carb needle seats underneath. Try and start it once cleaned using only ignition starting fluid and see if it fires - Ken

I cleaned the carburator in all its parts
I dryed the crankcase and I tried to run the engine without touched the throttle. Nothing. I moved the engine 30-45 sec
After that, I disconnected the intake Collector. I found a big lake of gasoline into it!.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
make sure the carburetor needle for the float is not damaged at the rubber tip and that the float doesn't have a leak in it - with fuel inside the float it's too heavy to shut off the fuel flow and if there's dirt at the tip of the needle the fuel will leak by and not be shut off

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
i forgot to write one thing : i took another float + valve from another Ape that I know the engine run very good.
And The gasoline lake was appeared the same.
