MPR2T+25088+ - media blasted (very fine glass beads) a spare cylinder head and intake manifold. A spare carburetor needs cleaning and the box of spare parts which came with the Ape spread out on the bed of the pianale. Ken

The brake drums I've cleaned in the media blaster, cleaned the carburetor and it's ready to overhaul. Now the drums can be painted with Tremclad Aluminum. My local garage turned the drums, one turn on two of them and two turns on the front drum. After painting a bit of grease on the face and they can be put aside until the next restoration (after the grease is removed of course) - Ken

Load up the pianale bed and both doors from MPR2T+26175+ (burned in a fire). Taking them to my friend's powder coating business to get soda blasted clean and powder coat paint. - Ken

My friend Stefan has just finished the exhaust on his Ape 50 and sent me this photo - work still in progress. The other photo is of the rear showing LED lights installed. - Ken

Nasty surprise behind the home-made cabin beading. The Ape was always parked under a large tree for 9 months of the year and debris and water collected behind it. A bit rusty, but it will be fixed when the Ape is sent in for painting. The gas tank sits on an adjustable mechanics seat, pianale bolts removed and it's ready to go to the powder coating shop for painting. - Ken

Looks like the Factory weld had broken loose and the bottom right corner of the cabin has sagged a bit, will need a little jacking up and rewelding before it gets worse. With age things tend to sag at the joints (right Olandese?) - Ken

This one's going to be painted white. It's going to a specialty meat shop in Toronto, Ontario. Lots still to do, I have to overhaul the dual action brake pump (they always leak causing rust) - Ken

Here are some photos of the dual action brake pump as installed in the P501 Vespacars which were imported into Canada in 1982. Does anyone have a part number for this unit and/or knows if spares are still available? Use a long handle paint brush to push out the pieces. The only markings on the brake pump are 22 up by the hinge pin for brake pedal, a large V just above the upper brake line elbow and the Piaggio emblem. You can see the markings in the closeup photo. - Ken
