I have a French - German Service Station manual I am checking for your answer.

And so far I am stumped, can't find torque values even in the service station manual in English for the C models.

Getting closer

https://en.blog.scooter-center.com/tigh ... lambretta/

This should be close enough to what is necessary should nothing else be available.

Torque settings Ape MP models. Don't overtighten or you'll strip threads in the engine casings - Pages 110 & 111 - Ken - https://www.kjjohnson.ca/piaggio/MANUAL ... %20CAR.pdf - ^&$

But with those, you have to convert the Kgm to NM or worse yet to ft. lbs.

At least this manual had the numbers, I have been through the service station manuals for the Ape Commercial - Pentaro (has AD1T), the C model, and all model Vespa Service Station Manual 1955 to 1965 models and have seen no such chart.

And the internet is a wonderful place.

Here's an online converter for Kgm (of Kgfm) to nm

Many thanks for the replies.

Ken it looks from you document that the head bolts should be torqued to 1.7 - 2.2 Kgm (dado fissaggio testa ciindro) 16.6NM - 21.5NM

Hi,

Could I check that the AD1T does not have a head gasket?

James

No cylinder head gasket. Gasket only at base of cylinder onto engine casings. Ken

Cast iron cylinder and aluminum cylinder head which expands with heat creates the seal ^&$
