Rust will be your biggest enemy. Go through the P2 & P3 photo file on my website and look for photos showing where they rust out. Lift the floor mats and take photos. Bodywork is expensive. The more large size photos you can take and post the better we can see to give you advice. I take it that the Ape is being sold 'as is'. The ApeCar has been painted so take a magnet and if there's a lot of body filler the magnet won't stick. Look under the doors and crawl underneath with a light and look everywhere or you might get some nasty surprises.
