Look at the parts photo T.l and on the clutch side the bearing goes in first, then the split ring and then the oil seal. First seal I would look at is the one behind the cooling fan, it's the one that usually goes bad first. I'm wondering if the seal is gone between the crankcase halves but I can't tell from way over here, I'd prefer it on my test stand

I never use old gasoline mix that arrives in any Ape. Often they have been sitting for a long time and there's water from condensation in the tank that causes big problems. I only use my own fuel mix that I keep separate. Always buy gasoline from a service station that sells a lot of gasoline. Ken

Hi Ken!
The @pone has a wondeful sound now!! Fantastic!
The power is better than previous situation because I tuned the cylinder ports, very soft.
Question : What kind of the seal is used on the shaft of body "distributor contact breaker"?
I ask you this because I have a oil leak from the breaker and I want replace its seal.
I suppose that it damaged during the hell days when I tried to run the engine.

many thanks in advance

Pietro

In the photo you can see where the 'O' ring sits up under the base of the distributor and not in the groove with the oil hole - Ken

no, I don't have dimensions. You'll have to see a Dealer who might have old stock. I have lots of the original drive pins for the distributor but not for your model. They didn't come with that piece installed on them. Look on Ebay and use that part number and description - never know - Ken

Hi Ken!
Today i replaced the rotary seal.
I tried, as your adviced me, to search on ebay with code piaggio.
I found the seal after one minute!
In your picture, you link the protezione of the seal for The pollution.
The dimensions is 10-18-4.it's made by NBR OR VITON. IT'S better the second choice.
It's An industrial spare parts made by many factory as skf, angst-pfister, trelleborg. ....
