Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
Pull the main jet and float bowl with the carb needle and float attached. Have someone turn on the fuel cock at the tank while you hold up the float to see if the carb needle is shutting off the fuel. If fuel still drips downwards you must clean the seat where the needle shuts off the fuel flow. Keep a pail under the carburetor to catch spilled fuel. Use carb cleaner on the needle seat to clean it.
You can see where someone tried to seal a crack in the float in the one picture. Didn't work, fuel leaked into the float making it heavy so it didn't work properly and had to be replaced. - Ken we buy/restore/sell P501 and P601s and parts/manuals/handbooks

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
Good news : The engine run for few second!
I bought a new carburetor and i replaced the wire From coil to spark.
The bad news: The engine run only with a gas like "quick start".
When the gas finisched, the engine stopped.
After thirty minutes and Ten time run the engine, i opened the intake and i found out a Small gasoline Lake in to it.
Also the spark is wet like a river and From the exsaust Port come out many liquid.
The time that the engine run depend how much quick start blow into chamber.
I didn't open the throotle anytime.
What's happening at this engine?

Did you say in an earlier posting that you rebuilt the motor? Did you pull the muffler, cylinder head and cylinder and did you change the piston? - Ken

I rebuilt the engine, i replaced only seals and bearing of the shaft.
The muffler was old but ok.
Also the cylinder was in Good conditions.
I tuning the ports in front of exaust. I increased its height 5 mm.
So, Now They open before the Main ports

I think you installed the piston incorrectly. On the top of the piston is an arrow and it should be pointed up. The ports in the piston are at the bottom - Ken

I agree with you about the flower.
I Told Her about you message, He agree with you:-).
Please look the pictures.
This morning, the mechanic took me a new cylinder+ piston.
He Told me: your cylinder is ok, but you try this new ore. ..
At The end?
If i Closed the carburetor with a piece of paper, the engine run with a blue smoke.
If i connect the carburetor to filter, Nothing.
I think that the engine has another way for The air.
And it's no correct. ..
I made some films but the dimensions is too high for this forum.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
Oil seals each side of the crankshaft - pull the fan and you will see if oil has been escaping there which means air is getting in. Big job if either of these oil seals are leaking. # 40 and # 53. You're going to need more flowers - Ken

Yes, Big work but it's Not for me.
I've already payed the mechanic for replace the seals. And Now, He must replay the work.
I Hope that the crankcase haven't problem like crack or Small hole that the mechanic didn't look while He was working.

Re: rimontaggio motore Mp600 del 74
I will search for photos - in this case a Toronto mechanic had installed a Honda oil seal which of course wasn't correct in profile so it leaked - twice - Ken http://www.kjjohnson.ca/piaggio/information.php -
The motor is apart but these two photos show how I install a new oil seal on the flywheel side using a socket, short extension and a hammer - this can be done with motor in place
Clutch side oil seal - refer to Service Station Manual page 60 for instructions - we buy/restore/sell P501 and P601s and parts/manuals/handbooks
