New fan belt too tight. Fan belt adjustment is made by adding or deleting metal spacers between inner and outer pulley sections. Old technology. - Ken

POLICE APE AD1T ^&$ With two mechanic friends we managed to fire up the motor but only for a moment. Smoke and fuel/oil mix coming out of places not intended! We discovered a Mud Dauber clay nest in the exhaust pipe, blocking it and creating back pressure. Oil/fuel mix came out under the cylinder around the gasket! Take the motor apart and replace the gasket, clean the exhaust pipe and reset the timing. Put it all back together so I can make another attempt to start it without problems hopefully next time - Ken

Con due amici meccanici siamo riusciti ad accendere il motore, ma solo per un momento. Fumo e miscela di carburante / olio che escono da luoghi non previsti! Abbiamo scoperto un nido di argilla Mud Dauber nel tubo di scarico, bloccandolo e creando contropressione. La miscela olio / carburante fuoriesce sotto il cilindro attorno alla guarnizione! Smontare il motore e sostituire la guarnizione, pulire il tubo di scarico e ripristinare i tempi. Rimetti tutto insieme in modo da poter fare un altro tentativo di avviarlo senza problemi, la prossima volta ^&$
