Mario: Mine came with the canvas sheet with plexi window sewn into it and of course water leaked in around the edges and rusted the area behind the seat back - badly.
Aniello offers a replacement. I'm thinking of having a panel made that I can mount using the myriad of tiny holes already around that opening but doing a better job of sealing it from the weather. Might use a spare rear window from a P501/P601/MP which although not really large as shown on the red one I'd recently posted the size to me seems more suited. Shall I make two? - Ken

The red Oregon style was perfect, and I'd love that for my Ape all day long. Is that the style you're suggesting? How would it be fitted? Welded in place?
I am also in the process of adding 2 more Vespas and one Lambretta Series 2 to my collection. It is getting crowded here now.

I don't think it would be a good idea to weld a panel in place for a rear window. Sooner cut and fit a panel that is mounted using screws and sealant using the original mounting holes for the canvas back. Not a good idea to weld as it then becomes a major job if ever replaced for an original look. Have to get the Ape back here in my shop first and study some options - Ken
Cabin on the Police Ape is smaller than a P501. Changes made from the canvas earlier in Europe

For the tail lights to work both mounting bolts must have a good ground. The brackets were so badly rusted I had to grind down to bare metal and then they worked properly - Ken
