excellent this system for cylinder extraction from the piston! I like it!

First you must thread the holes in the cylinder head to accept short 7/16" bolts to hold the plate tight to the top. DO NOT use the engine studs if the motor is rusted inside from sitting out in bad weather for a long time. You must use a large bolt with matching nut welded to the center hole of the plate. The first 10mm bolt I used initially wasn't strong enough as I stripped the threads on the welded nut. Once the bottom sleeve of the cylinder is almost free from the engine casings use blocks of wood to support the cylinder. A 2 1/2" washer is placed on top of 2" PVC pipe sections as spacers so a really long center bolt isn't required. I also had a thick steel plate sitting on top of the big washer to bear the brunt of the force required as I turned the center bolt. I worked at this on and off for three days. I'll post more photos shortly of my final success. REMEMBER that cylinder and cylinder head bolts screw into the aluminum engine casings and if enough force is applied they can be pulled loose or out at worse causing even more damage. - Ken

- Ken

This motor arrived in a box and earlier attempts had been made - sadly. I will show you how hard it was to remove the spinotto! 5/%
