NOS stator arrived but it's the wrong one - only 4 wires and original has 7 wires. Sad day - Ken

A mechanic friend changed all the wires on the stator. Next step is to install it again and see if it will work - Ken

Fighting a losing battle. Even changed the coil but no spark at the plug.

This is the same with my AD1T, I've just ordered a new coil, points, and condenser.

James: Check the diodes that they're sending current to ground. I've finally got mine running and was driving it yesterday. Only issue was very tough gear shifting. Runs like a dream now and minor issues to deal with - Ken

I've been helping Marco near Prato, Italia fix his P501. Face rivet in the clutch broke and went down into the differential. Had to pull the motor and make repairs.

A lot of filings on the drain plug magnet when the rivet got chewed up

Pulled the motor for repairs

Replacement differential casing required

Went back together with lots of upgrades

Repairs were made and Marco installed the motor

I received a letter of thanks for my help

P501 motor back in and all is well

Now he can go back to work in the olive orchard
