Ora sono APISTA al 100%: eccovi la mia P601 dell'82

Messaggio da dieguito »

Ciao Ragazzi,

Wonderful, nothing like bringing an Ape home! You have some things to do but it looks in pretty good shape. Before you drive too far though, bleed the brakes. The fluid in the brake reservoir is quite dirty and the level is low. It looks like the former owner tried to hold back the rust by painting the seams on the cabin floor. This is good. Happy journey. Help yourself to any manuals on my website which will help you to maintain her. - Ken

At a minimum you must go over the brakes. You must make sure it is tuned and runs well and has a clean air filter. Change the oil and check the drain plug for filings. Check all the lights and turn signals. Buy yourself a new clutch cable - at some point it will break and you'll have to change it on the road so carry a few tools. Keep the rust from ruining your purchase. Fix the seat. Become familiar with it so when something goes wrong you'll know where to look. Keep spare fuses in your tool kit. Show me where you'll have the "paracabina" and I'll do you a drawing. Rent the movie "Chocolat". In it is a scene of a dinner held in the garden and above it is a canopy draped over steel tubing. Sort of like a French Calessino. Would be perfect. Enjoy. Ken

Certo Ken! Intendo: olio, pulizia carburatore e filtro aria, ganasce e spurgo dei freni, trattamento ruggine e saldatura fondi, gomme e camere d'aria nuove, sedile rifoderato, batteria nuova.

Per "paracabina" intendo questo accessorio:

Questo è per l'Ape 50 però..

I understand now, thought you were looking to cover it. There must be some used paracabina available from someone parting out Ape's. Ken
