Thanks again i will.
Ive noticed quite a few handle bar conversions on your Muravey pictures. My handle bars hit my knees so i am converting them too.
I dont know if you have ever seen Uggys Muravey on the web but when he bought his he had no bars, back tipper or engine. Being a scooterboy he did this.
Im doing the same bar conversion so it will clear my legs.
I think it makes a nicer alternative than just plain old motorcycle bars.

Folks were smaller back when these machines were first built. I was going to do a 'stretch cabin' for Big John but he's lost weight. He hardly made it getting into 'Sweet Pea'. Ken

That True North is a very nice machine. Im 6ft2 with a 56 chest so i tend to wear Apes not ride in one. I was offered one a few years ago from Scooter Restorations here in the UK and was gutted when i couldnt fit in it. Even being covered in goose fat wouldnt help :) :)
My partner has had 5 Reliants from Robins to Regals, i couldnt drive them because my feet cover two peddles!!
I think she is trying to tell me something because now shes got a Hijet van and many people point when im sitting in the front.
Lambros are worse!!!
Whats the solution Ken? You said something about stretching the cab.
Could you direct me to some pictures L_K*

6ft 2 is like between 185 and 190 cm ? then there is no problem i had a modified 55 wide with 2 cil engine...your hijet is big compared to that one ...............
F<)

the trick is to make your own seats and backrests , mine had one backrest that would swing up forward so i could use the seats as aprt of the bed in my camper:)

unfortunately i have no pics but the van was famous in a certain part of italy :) two person camper with kitchen ....6200 rev all day and over the gotthard with a hanger ..

maybe you should have a gutbrot ...

Olandese is right. Use plywood instead of the springs on the seat frame and cover it with a thinner layer of foam before installing the seat covering. Same with the backrest. Gives you more room. Body modifications are too expensive. I'm 6' but slim and I have no problem. Ken

I will. I dont know how many of these you get on here. This is Scootering Magazines article on my father in laws Williams Lambretta pick up. We removed the original back and replaced it with an Ape wooden one. It was made of all sorts of bits Fiat, Lambretta Lambro even Citroen. Willaims must of used many different suppliers for assembly parts. It was the only one in the country. He swapped it last year for 5 classic Vespas.
Strangely it was huge inside.
