Re: Saluti da MIami...
as you can see ken knows "something"..............when originally lari was contacted they would have an official letter from mr lari , who by the way writes an incredibly beautiful italian ............
the cooling shroud will be found but parts for api ac take time to find ...
i will do a search over weekend.
somehow i think putting an add here will help , people search and remember parts people look for..........

@Olandese Volante:
Do you have any details or contact where exactely in Macerata a replica van body can be found?
I haven´t seen a metal one, so far. Occasionally, wooden ones pop up at subito.it which, to my point of view, only go well with Ape A and B models.
Thanx for the information.
Best regards

see what this guy wants for the cooling shroud ,when he really want to sell only in italy , we have to see whether we can do things through aronne/ken
do not be misled by the rust its supposed to be that way
the bodies are made by malacca 56 (username on ebay.it) he is near macerata and i will try to see if i can find a mailadress.
he makes high quality closed vans and calessinos , when you can find a drawing with measures i am sure that a competitive one could be produced in canada . ken's man makes great stuff
metal bodies can be found in rather great numbers in france and at pretty good prices...............have a look at the secondhand sites there .........

Re: Saluti da MIami...
The one I found in USA doesn't have a cooling shroud either - not one that I could see, but Simon is keeping a watchful eye. - Ken

Pretty hard to get him moved over when I want a nap, so we share. No, that was the expensive one in USA that I'd turned down 3 years ago. Do you like the gas tank? Serial number is AC1T+0248+ (second hand info). - Ken

Thanks again for all the info guys, I'll put a wanted ad here in your forum... which is very friendly and informative btw. I've written a request for some history on this AC1T from Piaggio in the meantime.
Also, if anyone else has anything to add i'm all ears

Re: Saluti da MIami...
@olandese volante: thx!
It would be awesome if you found the guy´s adress!
I like the replacement floor Ken makes for the 501/601-series - that´s what I am missing for the C4 and D1!
I´d be a key account customer
I am constantly looking for boxes in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, but haven´t found one adequately, yet.
Thx for the the note, anyway!
Best regards

Re: Saluti da MIami...
Whow Ken, you´re definitely the world´s No. 1 human Ape database!
The floor-pan looks just perfect! They look galvanized, are they? Do you sell those? If yes, how much are you asking for them (incl. shipping to Munich/Germany)?
The furgone is also VERY nice - I´ve never seen one with windows before - looks like a tiny Uruguay Taxi. There seems to be another box rotting away in the background. Do you have the seller´s contact details?
Happy Tuesday from Munich
