Another day spent on this stupid engine and no way it turns on. I literally checked anything I could think of but it still doesn't work. There is a lot of fuel in the manifold downstream the carburetor and there's definitely mixture in the cylinder.. also I can see the spark.. I am struggling, no id...

So I mounted everything back today but no way my Ape worked! Now the gears are working fine but I did not manage to turn the engine on. Looks like the mixture is too rich and there's a lot of fuel in the cylinder. I don't know what could have happened as last time, despite the mistake on the rear dr...

Did all the tests and it works so far... I tried all the gears both fwd and reverse and they did work! And I tried also after I put it back on the frame!

I have a motor stand to test it! But working on a stand doesn't mean working for real!

Been a long long day... I removed the engine, opened, bought a new gasket, cleaned, fixed and back. Hope it was successful. Tomorrow test day!

Is it possible to remove the differential carter without opening the whole engine?

Here the pictures. It perfectly works but there's no resistance when i move the selector with my hand. And of course my Ape only move forward.

Ecco le foto. Funziona ma non c'è resistenza quando aziono il leveraggio a mano. E l'Ape va solo avanti.

I am pretty sure the leverage is in the correct position but I will post a picture tomorrow so you can see. I have definitely tested the gears before mounting back the engine and everything did work...

Yes Ken, I did... But there are no other ways to mount it back. Also, if I missed something or put back something in a wrong way I presumebly would hear some noise?
