Alessio: Probably has been sold and withdrawn. However, here's a 600MP to consider - Ken http://www.subito.it/ape-600-mp-forli-c ... 145700.htm

Oh my God!
You're crazy, man! ;-)
I'm crazy too....my fear is not the journey with Ape, but all the traffic to view the Ape, do the property passage, ecc......
In Italy is all toooooo difficult!!

Bye!
Ale.

This is what I do. If it's too far for me to have a look firsthand, I have a list of about 30-40 photographs that the seller must provide me showing the Ape from every angle. First he must send me the top 10, then if I'm interested the second 10 on the list and so on. I also request two videos. He must walk up to the Ape with the camera running, open the door, sit inside and fire it up and rev it up a few times. The second video I request is for him to do a circle both left and right and a figure 8 in front of the camera, all in one shoot. If I'm satisfied we negotiate. If it was nearby then I can go and negotiate and have a good look up close at what I'm potentially buying. If I suspect something from the photos then I request closeup shots from different angles of what bothers me. Sometimes I buy them and they deliver and sometimes I have to go get them. I only like to do this once because of the distances here. Yesterday was my only chance to get this P501. They're expecting 80cm of snow overnight and tomorrow where I bought it. I'd sooner pay a fair price because the expense of traveling back and forth soon adds up. If the seller doesn't provide what I want, I walk. My website has brought me friends everywhere and if I ask they will go check it out for me if it's in their area. Better to buy a good example than a poor one, better to buy restored than a basket case at a deal. Parts, labour, painting and bodywork add up quickly, and chews up a lot of time. Better to enjoy right out of the gate. For me though, restoration is a wonderful way of taking me away from my everyday occupation. I'm in Italy when I'm in the shop, and I get to create which most folks rarely do. Know what you want, be prepared to pay for a really good one - you'll find it's the best choice with the most satisfaction. Here are some "from this to this" photos - Ken

Rust is your biggest problem because it forces you to have bodywork done and painting and that's expensive even if you remove all the bits and pieces yourself and re-assemble them. Motor problems are also expensive. Parts aren't cheap. Buy the best one you can find that has been finished already. You will have to pay but it's probably your best choice. Small bits and pieces can be affordable when you buy them from time to time to maintain the Ape, but the basics must be really good. If you find something you're interested in, take your camera and take dozens of photos from every angle and either post them or send them to me (send me an email through my website first so I have your email address) and I'll tell you what I think. I'm too far away to horn in on your prospective purchase and I can tell a lot from photographs. Good luck in your hunt. I see you're from Genova, I'll keep an eye out. Ken
